Andrew Gough is an Australian based Cinematographer working across multiple forms of documentary and narrative storytelling.
Andy’s most recent work includes the feature film THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY, the directorial debut for Dacre Montgomery, produced by Good Thing Productions. In 2025 he shot Block 2 of Warner Brothers six-part mini-series RUN with director Bonnie Moir for BINGE. His work on 16mm short film DIPPED IN BLACK for director Matthew J. Thorne saw them win the Silver Bear at the 2023 Berlinale and over 25 awards across multiple festivals.
Andy’s camera operating credits also include operating A-Camera for cinematographer Sam Chiplin on director Justin Kurzel’s THE NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP NORTH.
Andy grew up on the water and began his journey in cinematography shooting surfing, and swimming waves like Pipeline in Hawaii, Cloudbreak in Fiji and Jeffreys Bay, South Aftrica. He is now well known for his underwater cinematography. He is credited for his Underwater Cinematography on APEX with cinematographer Lawrence Sher ASC, Underwater Cinematography for Director Sam Raimi’s SEND HELP with cinematographer Bill Pope ASC, and shooting Splinter Unit and Underwater Unit for Sony Pictures on ANYONE BUT YOU for Director Will Gluck.
Andy’s early work saw him shooting documentary work for the BBC and his first feature documentary THE DESERT SAID DANCE following a motorcycle team racing through the Mexican desert. He then went onto shooting 2nd Unit on feature film PENGUIN BLOOM for Director Glendyn Ivin, and 2nd unit on feature film MOTHER MOUNTAIN for cinematographer Radek Ladcuzk.
